Putting new tech to the test

For some, the adoption of new and yet-to-be-tested tech isn’t always an approach that best suits clients’ needs. To be a truly leading maker, you need to harness ‘lateral innovation’- an approach that gets the job done through creative exploration and already-mastered skills mixed with quick, seamless execution.

That’s where discernment comes in. For us, this means sounding out the new tech worth investing in whilst staying far from flash-trends with little value for either the team or client. It means pushing that little bit further with time-honoured methods and innovating unique results through the skill of our expert craftsmen. Even when we’re working with clients like leading tech innovators, Google to create specialist pods, we blend world-class tech equipment with expert knowledge. We explore how we might push the boundaries of high-spec CNC milling machines whilst intuitively knowing the exact type, quantity and size of custom ‘gas-strut’ springs we need to order.

We’ve tested and expanded the possibilities we’ve encountered from everything including CNC cutting-bed machines, steel-laser cutters and leading wood-etch equipment. This way, we’ve designed, prototyped and developed smart, cost-effective and original results for our clients time and time again. But the best bit? All the new tech and production processes we’ve implemented are backed by brains that think big, a team that cares and people that possess authentic skill.
